Stump Grinding
Our methods offer the minimum of ground disturbance and we tackle any size of stump, from just a few inches up to the largest stump. We grind tree stumps and surface roots to below ground level which allows replanting or ground preparation for just about any purpose, whether it be preparing for a new lawn or a house extension. At Bardfield Garden Services we pride ourselves in doing each job correctly and look forward to each unique and often challenging stump removal. Using modern equipment our aim is to do a neat and complete job, making every effort to accommodate the needs of each and every customer. With two commercial Carlton stump grinders in operation, the larger machine is a Carlton 4012 diesel wireless remote controlled machine, the smaller machine which is used for limited access areas is a Carlton 2000, ideal for smaller jobs. We are equipped for almost any task, whether it be one stump or one thousand stumps of any size, from conifer roots to the largest of oak roots. The usual removal level is about 6 to 12 inches below ground, a greater depth can be achieved if required.
Access required for machinery
Our smaller machine requires a minimum width of 30 inches for access (small enough for most garden gates). The larger of our machine requires 35 inches. In certain circumstances where access is difficult, gates and fences can be removed and replaced. Alternatively access can be gained via neighbours or a perhaps a fence panel or gate temporally removed.
